Dropshipping Online with eBay

Here at Wholesale Scout we know many wholesalers decide to add dropshipping to their list of services. And why not? Dropshipping allows you to deliver stock directly to your customers’ door without having to worry about storage space and costs.

After sourcing stock from a dropshipping company, some wholesalers use online sites like eBay to sell on the products and to make a profit. If you are planning on going down this route, there are a few things to keep in mind.

Know Your Market

If you’re considering using eBay as a way of selling products after you have sourced them from a dropshipper, it’s crucial that you know your market. Who are you trying to sell to? What products do you want to promote? You should spend some time on eBay and other similar sites to identify this. There are different product sections on eBay too which you will need to look into. Remember that pictures usually help with online ads too so you need to consider using good product pictures and writing in-depth product descriptions.

Research

Research is essential especially when it comes to choosing a dropshipping company. You need to ensure you are working with a reputable dropshipping company so that your customers remain loyal and happy with their products.

Diverse Inventory

Having a diverse range of products will help you to sell. Spend time on the internet researching dropshipping companies and their products and decide what you want your inventory to look like.

Budget Correctly

Whether it’s looking at product prices or deciding how much you are going to spend on listing products online, ensure you set out a realistic budget and try and stick to it.

Spelling

It sounds obvious but if you list your product on eBay and make a spelling mistake it will make it much harder to pick up in search engines! Ensure you spend some time writing good product descriptions and don’t rush it.
