The team at Wholesale Scout attended the premiere of Breaking Dawn Part 2 last night – and thousands of fans were out to celebrate the franchise.
Twilight burst onto our screens back in 2008 and the film, based on the book by Stephenie Meyer, follows the love story of teenage girl Bella and vampire Edward Cullen. The movies have grown in success and millions of loyal fans, known as ‘Twihards’, have followed the story.
Now, four years on from the first movie, the final instalment of the Twilight Saga; Breaking Dawn Part 2 hits cinemas this weekend. And if the premiere is anything to go by, it’s going to be one of the biggest films of the year.
We were on the red carpet last night and caught a glimpse of all the stars including Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart. And the excitement of the night further enforced how popular this film franchise is. Thousands of fans had camped at the premiere the night before, risking the freezing weather in order to meet the Twilight actors.
Many fans had Twilight memorabilia on them for the actors to sign – from posters and diaries to notebooks and t-shirts. The Twilight franchise has spawned a number of memorabilia items and this is potentially very lucrative for wholesale buyers.
Although the films are coming to an end, the DVD’s will be released over the Christmas period and the fan loyalty doesn’t appear to be going anywhere.
